Close Range Remote Sensing

The tried and tested approach for determination of water quality by means of imaging hyperspectral sensors has been transferred to ground-level platforms in order to develop a flexible, more weather-independent, cost-effective and thus innovative method of water remote sensing. Due to small distancen to the target object, the surface of the water, atmospheric influences become negligibly small. Therefore, the measurements can also be used to calibrate the satellite and aircraft photographs. The ability to bridge the inherent scalene jump between ground-based and airplaine- or satellite-based multi- and hyperspectral water remote sensing both on the data as well as on the model side in the most consistant way.
